TRICO Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a part-time Skills Coach to be part of our employment team. The Skills Coach position offers fulfilling, part-time employment for an individual interested in working in the human services field.

Responsibilities include training individuals with disabilities. Duties include supervising day to day work activities; teaching appropriate work and social skills; job task analysis; data collection and recording; and integrating training with production requirements within TRICO’s wood manufacturing facility.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse skill levels is essential. Experience working with the disabled preferred. Must successfully complete background and motor vehicle record checks.

Job hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 2:30pm.

Charter Township of Breitung

Assessor – MAAO (3)

The Board of Trustees of the Charter Township of Breitung (Dickinson County) is seeking a qualified individual for the full time position of Assessor.  The Charter Township of Breitung has 4,167 Real Property parcels and 141 Personal property parcels for a combined 2018 assessed value of approximately 293 Million. The Assessor is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and certifying all assessment records certification of assessment rolls and preparation of documents for the Board of Review and Michigan Tax Tribunal.

Minimum requirements are a current State of Michigan Assessing License of Michigan Advanced Assessing Officer (MAAO-3) and three years experience as an Assessor. A thorough understanding of property assessment principals, laws and regulation is required. Experience with GIS mapping, BS&A software, Apex and Microsoft Office is required. An experienced Michigan Certified Assessing Officer (MCAO-2) who is moving towards MAAO-3 will also be considered contingent upon acquiring MAAO status within two years of date of hire.
